gemma {gilbert, az newborn photographer}

This adorable little one actually travelled all of the way from Tucson for her photoshoot. There’s something extra special in the air when you get to meet a freshly adopted baby…and get to hear the story of how that precious little one ended up with the parents who so desperately wanted a baby to love. I truly felt privileged to be able to take Miss Gemma’s newborn pictures!

{sigh}….I don’t even know where to start. First of all these were the tiniest babies I have ever taken pictures of. Seriously bitty! Second of all, their mom is a super-mom….like amazing! Their mom is just a few months older than me and these two babies make it a total of 9 kids in their family. 9 crazy adorable kids! Not crazy….but crazy adorable. Cutest kiddo’s on the block! These babies were so sweet and so good to me, sleeping like champs through their whole session! Are you dying to meet them yet?

Hi,
I just love your new website and love your photography! Would you mind sharing were you found that wood chalkboard crate? Keep up the awesome work! Have a good week!

Thank you! I got the chalkboard crate at a boutique in Utah about a year ago…I’m trying to remember the name of it. Hmmmm….

I simply fell in love with this little guy and his head of blonde hair! It did take a little while for my magic to work him over. I just think he didn’t want to miss anything!

And then sweet little Miles’ dad broke out his guitar. We got some awesome shots of Miles on it and then his daddy just played beautiful music for the rest of the photoshoot. Talk about relaxing! I seriously need a guitar player to come and serenade my newborn photoshoots!

I LOVE it when babies get to come back and visit me when they are older for another photoshoot. Tenley was such a darling, round and squishy little newborn. I can’t believe how quickly she is growing up!

I love your new blog and your work. What is your favorite lens to use on babies up close?

ryan, rylee, and rhett {Gilbert, AZ newborn photographer}

Sometimes I look back through old sessions that I haven’t had a chance to share yet and a big smile spreads across my face. I giggle as I remember the kids and how full of personality they were…or how at home I felt as I chatted with mom and dad, who felt like old friends. Let’s meet Rhett, or as his big spunky sister calls him, Canonball…who just happened to be a little ball of love!
